How I Met Your Mother
Maybe it is because I am a church geek, but this is comedy gold to me!!! I have no idea if this got embedded or not.

I liked seeing the send-off to the side characters... thought that was kind of mean what happened (happens) to Blitz.
Also, how about some Zabkappreciation huh? Bays and Thomas are all but blatantly trying to revive this guys screen career are they not? |

In all fairness, he had that role long before they got married. I'm not sure, but that is probably where they met. His first appearance as that character was in 2006 and they got engaged 2009. That would make for an interesting How I Met your Mother story they can tell their daughter one day.

Was it just me, or was there a shit ton of Christian imagery in this episode,
Jesus over Ted's shoulder in the hallway, the crosses directly over Marshall and Lily's shoulders in the chapel scene renewing their vows privately. |

Well, they were in a church. You often see Christian stuff in a Christian church.

There's something oddly symbolic about seeing The Last Supper and then Jesus with a halo that seems to be wrapped around Ted. It either means that Ted is about to do something really good for Robin. Or maybe there's something darker coming. I don't think the writers plant easter eggs often so it could be just a coincidence.

I thought Jesus picture was at the hotel, it wasn't clear. It wasn't a bedroom, but wasn't a church room. So I'm not even clear if we've left the hotel for an actual church, or if there's a chapel and dance floor in the hotel. Also, it was the placement right on their right shoulder.

Writer's don't set dress the scene, so even if it was a coincidence, it could have some intentional meaning to someone else. Set dressing can be an interesting place for individuals on a crew to express themselves. This happens most in teenagers bedrooms with posters and decorations revealing alot about the people behind the scenes, and also scenes shot on college campuses and high schools.

Right. But I'm wondering if it's just a plain coincidence, if it was just an obvious symbolism for the current episode (hinting that Barney will betray, and that Ted will save the day), or is it foreshadowing for a future episode (halo means somebody is going to die).

I would be much more okay with Ted passing than the mother. Neither would make for an ideal ending, but the idea of the mother passing still angers me.
