****The Official Andy Reid Thread****

As many have pointed out, the infamous Andy Reid thread is too much of a dumpster fire to have any kind of discussion over Andy.

This thread is to talk about any and all things Andy Reid, the Hall of Fame head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs. Here we can celebrate his achievements, his creative playcalling, AND critique our Hall of Fame coaches decision making from time to time.

***I looked for a thread like this, even going back to 2013, and could not find anything.

Let's talk Andy.

I'm kind of the opposite of the Reid guys here. I didn't want Reid in 2013, pretty vocally against, and I expected things to look like they do now a lot sooner. So while I will never forget the Superbowl, this is still all basically what I expected. He's always been Marty Schottenheimer to me, just substituting short passing routes for the running game. I sincerely hope this isn't what it looks like, the beginning of the Chiefs equivalent of the second half of Reid's career in Philly. AKA the beginning of the end.

We've gone from best team to biggest joke in a month, and I don't think this team, with the culture that this coaching staff has cultivated, can recover from that. And I don't just mean this year.

But we'll see. Hopefully it all ends up fine and this is just a little speed bump.

It's one thing for this crap to happen once. But to see the SAME crap every week and nothing done to fix it then the Head coach is the major problem.

The culture is fine. We just have way too much distraction right now. It's not just Andy Reid. It's the locker room leaders like Clark and Mathieu. And it's a defensive coaching issue which can change either with adjustments or coaching changes.

These are easily fixable speed bumps. Even if they may not happen right away.

The offense also needs to figure out cover 2 but they're still plenty good enough to dominate even when not at their best.

That FG down 27 might be the most cowardly coaching decision I've seen Andy make as the Head Coach of this team.

He has just lacked a killer instinct all year.

I don't know. Might be time for him to retire. Very thankful for the SB and the fun of these last few seasons but maybe his head's not in it anymore.

I can’t imagine having all those health issues, being that age, and having a few significant family issues while working a job that’s this demanding and stressful.

Or maybe we just wait for these things to sort themselves out and give out HOF super bowl coach a little space to have a rough patch.

I guess. I mean, I'd love for him to turn it around. I just question whether he has the stamina for that at this point. He's been doing this for a long time and it's not like he's super healthy with a stress-free personal life.

Andy Reid is my favorite football coach ever. He clowned me after I criticized his ability to win in the playoffs during the Alex years.

But his team has not been right this year.
