Let’s talk about the Chargers

Quick turnaround. Amazon’s new platformed TNF

First thought: love the offense now. Worries about injuries and OT’s. Mack and Bosa had a combined 4.5 sacks today. But they played the Raiders OL.

They won but nearly lost to a bad team. Very beatable IMO

With Bosa and Mack, this might be a good game to line up in a lot of two and three TE sets. Chip those ends, run the ball some with a surplus of blockers, and hit those TE's in the short and intermediate routes.

On the one hand, the Chargers just found themselves in a dogfight with the Raiders. They picked off Carr three times, sacked him six times, and forced a fumble only to beat them by 5 points.

On the other, the Chargers are uniquely equipped to give our team a lot of trouble. They'll likely go for it on every 4th and 4 or shorter and with Mack and Bosa they probably won't have to blitz in order to get pressure. Plus Derwin James is seemingly the only defender in the league who can consistently blanket Kelce.

The Chargers only chance is to play us:

1) When we're banged up, and
2) On a short week.

They get both and I still wouldn't bet on them.
