Should have probably just re-opened the coaching search after the SB because all of their candidates were abominations (they interviewed Detroit Lions defensive coordinator and Eric Bienemy).
I understand, from Geoff Schwartz primarily, that teams are reluctant to hire Vrabel and Bellichick b/c they want control over personnel and owners are reluctant to give HC that much authority. That sounds like something Bellichick would do and if that's a stumbling block, it makes sense, particularly considering NE's last few drafts. I don't know if that's the issue with Vrabel though.

Vrabel "lost a power-struggle" with a Shannahan disciple. Washington has a Shannahan disciple as a GM. Team Ratface is petty.

Based on his coaching record, it looks like he's a lock to get them to .500.

No more, no less.

Don't know why I'm so annoyed by this hire. It probably just ensures that a QB who might have been great, now will not. Even though it's in the NFC, this is good for us.

What’s the difference between Ron Rivera and Dan Quinn?

Actual serious question. Rivera wasn’t cutting it. How is Dan Quinn going to change that?

I fail to see how he will do jack shit.

DQ will blow out his asshole during big games that he should win, leading to devastating defeats.

Shit, that's Ron too. SB50 flashbacks.

Absolutely nothing. They went from Ron Rivera to a younger Ron Rivera.
