I give a damn.
Man, the fact that you've dealt with this and just now are sharing? Tremendous courage to deal with the fact of losing a limb...just wow. I'll pray for you, mikey, Godspeed in your recovery. If you need someone to listen, let me know. |

Forum banter and personal matters are entirely different. Best of luck to you man and prayers for a speedy recovery. I know it's not entirely easy to think about but please remember to do cardio and physical activity afterwards (as hard as that may sound.) I had a family friend pass away after having a similiar procedure because he let himself turn into a vegetable, he was only 52 when he had the leg taken off because of diabetes and was dead within 2 years. Sorry to hear about your misfortune and hope you can get a very functional prosthetic

Best of luck and prayers your way.
I recently lost a friend who was the same age as me to diabetic complications. He too had part of his foot amputated and then his leg above the knee. Shit went down hill after that. Problem was, he never really took care of himself. Please follow Dr's orders and do all you can to keep your diabetes under control. I've seen a lot of people on mine and my wife's side of the family succumb to this horrible disease. PLEASE take care of yourself. I'll be praying for you. |

Mercy, that is awful news! I am very sorry that diabetes has given you such a bad deal. I don't know what words can comfort you or give you hope, but try as hard as you can to deal with this obstacle and live well.
