***Official Who to Start Thread***

Week 1 is looming folks. I'm giddy - like a schoolgirl. Anyway, I figured I would create a thread where people from the planet can post their rosters, and or tentative weekly starting rosters if they needed help.

I'm stuck @ #2 RB and #3 WR. Here is who I have starting in week one.

QB - Garrard @ Tenn
RB - Barber @ Cleveland
Portis @ NYG, TJones @ Miami, Selvin Young @ Oakland
WR - Colston v. TB
WR - Cotchery @ Miami
Bryant Johnson v. Zona, Hackett @ SD, Porter @ Tenn, Galloway @ NO
TE - Lee v. Minny
K - Jeff Reed v. Houston
JAX D @ Tenn.

Any help/guidance for my second RB and third WR would be appreciated.

Our information has yet to be posted on Yahoo! But, when it is I will be able to let you guys know some of the better FA WRs.

I would go with Favre though because of who they are playing. Anderson could have a shootout in Dallas but the secondary is a lot better in Dallas then it is in Miami.

Who would you start

My 1st RB spot is with Thomas Jones

I'm thinking of starting Ricky Williams in the 2nd spot (yes my rb's suck)

Bench RB's=Matt Forte, Edjerrin James, and Lendale White

What do you think?

I don't trust James at all, it seems he always gets a TD stolen, plus i have Fitzgerald at WR

I have the choice of Hasselbeck and Favre, and am going with Favre because of the weak opponent. It's certainly a gamble, but I think he could put up some big numbers this season. I would go w/ Favre.

I would actually think about starting Forte and getting some use out of him while he still has the starting RB gig. I think you should wait to start Ricky until Miami shows they are going to use him consistently.

yeah it's a crap shoot cause i have no idea what to do...chicago could get blow out early and have to throw too? Ricky Williams is the best "projected" guy to have the best day. I could see him doing well though if he gets 20 carries...thats what im unsure about...

and edj james is always a tweener start

OK, for my final flex spot, I have to decide between:

Lee Evans (against Seattle)
Nate Burleson (against Buffalo)
Fred Taylor (against Ten)
Kevin Walter (against Pitt)

I'm actually tempted to start Kevin Walter. He ended the season with awesome fantasy stats last year and is a decent option if Pitt focuses on Andre Johnson. I don't like Fred Taylor at all because of Tenn's run defense last year. Jax couldn't do anything against them in either game last season.

That's a tough one. Rivers is missing some key offensive linemen and Rodgers is playing against that tough front 4 of Minnesota. I think I'd go with Rodgers...but thats just me.

Go Brees. I know Tampa Bay has some damn good CBs but you have to go with Brees because you know that they'll be airing it out. Plus he actually has a TE now to go with Colston and Bush.

Yeah, that's how I was leaning. The only thing making me pause was Minny's craptastic pass D last year. Thanks! (This is my first year in fantasy, so I'll likely be popping in here quite a bit)

Id go with the proven guy over the unknown.

I decided to play it safe and go with Rivers today over Rodgers.
