*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

Dude has opponents asking about his injury immediately after they lose.

The respect the league has for the guy is just so cool.

Guy is just perfect.

That Netflix show showed how cool he is with his opponents (well other than that asshole Crosby).

And even then, it seems like both sides actually dig the intensity of that rivalry and use it to motivate themselves. I didn’t sense the nastiness of 90’s Romanowski or anything like that.

Yeah, I get the feeling that Mahomes and Crosby both have a TON of respect for each other.

Chris Jones and Tom Brady seemed to have a similar dynamic.

I feel like there have been times when Crosby does some dirty shit trying to hurt Mahomes. Like twisting legs after a tackle type shit.

the only one that I can even think of that comes close is the current Broncos head coach for putting bounties on players to get injured. Or maybe Burfict.

Agreed. I was kind of there a while back because it just seemed like he got done wrong by the Browns, but what really sealed it for me as a guy to root for, and I bet a lot of people, was his stint with the Rams and starting that game a few days after arriving and winning that game on that crazy last second drive. He plays hard and simply doesn’t quit, and perhaps most importantly from a fans perspective, he will go down swinging.

I haven’t seen anything that direct other than the sort of “Jordan rules” stuff we were told about coming into this season. If Crosby ever goes too far on anything like that I’d really hope Trey would open up a can of whoopass like that Chargers lineman did protecting Herbert a few weeks back. Knowing Mahomes has lineman willing to police behaviors like that would have any d-lineman thinking twice.

Baker Mayfield is Chad Pennington but instead of being sandbagged by a lame arm it's been mismanagement by multiple franchises.

Agreed and it has to be innate. No way he couldn't let some of it out under all these situations if he was just a **** pretending not to be.

Is the Hopkins pass the best pass Mahomes has ever had? It’s hard to say but it absolutely has to be up there. An incredibly difficult throw that the majority of QB’s don’t even attempt

It has the be the 4th and 9 against the Ravens. Only maybe 2-3 QBs in history could make that throw.
