Wireless controllers are like cell phones. We grew up without it, we functioned fine, but I cannot fathom how we did it.

I remember my first wireless controller. For the Gamecube. Took 2 AAs and burned through that in seemingly like 4 hours. And the only reason I bought it was because it was on sale used and cheap at Vintage Stock. Crazy how much the industry has changed. |

wired controllers (i.e. Atari) was why we had to sit so close to the TV to play games!

Having 20 different keys to a game makes it that way. Keep everything in reach in a small area. One of your 8 buttons can be a shift key and the other 7 now have secondary functions. Moving my character with U/D/L/R keys will never feel natural or enjoyable to me. I'm fine with that stuff in a Sim City or point and click game. I get it. That's the one time a joystick is truly cumbersome. Games are what I do to enjoy my time and forget about work - acting like I'm doing this for a living and I need that extra 3/4ths a second defeats the purpose. |

For those that have played Elden Ring........is it more Souls-like, or Bloodborne-like?
It looks interesting.... |

Pretty frustrating seeing how promising College Football 25 looks. EA is capable of making a decent football sim, they've just been lazy and complacent.
