It’s a 6 point game now. Could’ve made it 5, which would mean they’d still be alive if Waashington kicks a field goal here.

Field goal by Washington ends it.

If you don’t convert, you’re still down 7 and can tie with a TD. Or win it by going for 2 again.
Math checks out.

Major **** up by Sarkisian.

No real downside in going for 2 at that point, but he took away any chance they had of getting back in this.

Crazy how such smart football minds can make such bad decisions.

I had the same thought. And now they're down by 9 and basically needing a miracle.

The downside is of course if you don't get it, then if you get the ball back and score a TD, an extra point only ties. But I would've tried it. That extra 1 point would've kept them alive right now.

If you don’t get it, you’re essentially in the same position.

You need a stop and a TD.

If you get it, you just need to keep Washington out of the endzone.

Really bad decision.

Texas might want to consider kicking a FG here.

I was just thinking that too.

It’s their only shot.

Running 30+ seconds off the clock here to get a touchdown is enough to probably end their chances.

Sarkisian has already proven that his math skills aren’t the best.

Should’ve kicked it right after that defensive penalty.
