It makes sense as an overcorrection.

Veach's way of saying we are NOT letting 2023 happen again, no matter what.

I think they'd still draft a WR in the top-64 because the FAs are likely one-year deals.

This WR class is very talented, but outside the top 5 guys, there's just as many ???? on this WR class as any other class.

Guys with some nice tools and potential for greatness, but maybe haven't shown everything to KNOW they'll be contributors.

Would much rather have a capable vet on the roster AND a rookie. Just safer that way. More ideal.

Mike Williams on an incentive heavy deal would be outstanding. Nothing but upside.

Brown, OTOH, would likely require a larger commitment and while i like the player just fine, im not sure what kind of commitment ($$$) he'd require.

Toney's money is guaranteed, so unless they just feel like lighting it on fire, he'll be around.

Yeah, we aren't getting one of the top 5 WR's in this class so it doesn't make it a slam dunk for us.

I mean he struggled with us in 2019 because of some injuries but played awfully well when we put him out in that hybrid safety role after Thornhill went down and we shuffled guys around a bit.

I don't have anything negative to say about Fuller. He was a solid player here for a bit, a big part of our first championship and then went and got himself paid somewhere else. Then he was good and reasonably healthy all 4 years in Washington after going back to being a straight outside CB.

I mean I guess the surprising thing might be that he went from mostly being a slot corner earlier in his career to being almost exclusively a boundary corner as he aged. But he always had the physical tools to do it.

Good for Kendall. Guy's had a hell of a career.
Seemed like he was settling in as a safety/slot type before he left KC.

isn’t this basically what Veach did with the OL after the Bucs Super Bowl?

We signed Blythe but still drafted Creed. I think we even traded LDT because Trey looked so good.
