Figured we could get one of these going as well.

Who's some guys we like, would like to see in KC?

This is year 3 so it's probably shit or get off the pot time for Buechele.

I don't think it's beyond reason to think Buechele can beat out Gabbert, they just need insurance in case he doesn't.

Plus, they could keep all 3. If it's as important to have other voices in the QB room as is being indicated, it's worth keeping them both over some 3rd string linebacker.

I'm kind of at the opposite end of the spectrum... I don't think it's within reason to think Buechele can beat out Gabbert but the Chiefs are likely to at least keep Buechele on the PS and maybe the roster if he shows well in preseason.

I also wouldn't rule out KC drafting a 3rd QB or bringing in another slate of UDFAs to compete there. Buechele is not a very good.

I wonder if they can get a 5th or so for Buechele.

If you can’t beat out Blaine Gabbert, go play in Canada.

Blaine is terrible.

Oh, you've just been spoiled by having Patrick Mahomes as your QB.

I bet you can remember a lot of bad starting Chiefs QBs and Blaine is just trying to be the backup.

I guess what I was trying to say is that Blaine is a career backup, so that’s the bar Buechele needs to reach to stay in the NFL. He needs to beat a career backup.

Iirc Blaine is a very smart guy and I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if Tom Brady recommended him to Pat during conversations and that’s how he got to KC as the vet to replace Henne.
