I’d take lock as a backup. Let andy coach him up play him in some preseason games and maybe some idiot gm would trade for him

What apparently you DON'T know is that despite an apocalyptic number of season ending injuries, PFF just named Vic's defense #3 in the League. Don't get me wrong, I'm not "throwin' down the gauntlet" for Sunday Night or anything, and yes, Vic's had a couple of 60-yr. old 1st-time-head coach growing pains, but his defense is just about our only bright spot.

.

Injuries on Defense:
Pro-Bowlers Von Miller, Jurrell Casey, Mike Purcell
Starters Shelby Harris, Malik Reed, Bryce Callahan

Glad to hear Vance has the defense playing at a high level. Too bad he’s the HC, not the DC. Don’t get me wrong Dungkey, I hope he stays there as long as Failway. We’re about to run 11 straight off in dat ass. Last time those chumps beat KC our MVP, and SB MVP quarterback was still in college, lmao. Enjoy that awesome defense, cuz our offense is about to shred it AGAIN!!

But his deep balls are just awful now ... horrible. I'm hping that means it's a mental problem so it's fixable, but I dunno ... how can his deep ball fall off that far in two years?
This is cute...yet, somewhat impressive. For all the homers that were here to 'talk football' and have since disappeared circa 2019. It's nice to see a True Fan show up.

That said to answer your question, throwing over the defense in college has no comparison to the game in the NFL. (sorry if repost)

From PFN and Allbright, who covers the Broncos in Denver:

Quote:

Vic Fangio – Denver Broncos
Despite the Broncos struggling to a 4-7 start to the season, Allbright was quick to dismiss the possibility of Fangio losing his job. He expects changes to be made on special teams and the team to draft another quarterback to compete with Drew Lock, who has regressed in his second season as the starter. Pauline pointed to the QB position, both in terms of Lock’s injuries and the extraordinary circumstances that led to Kendall Hinton starting, as factors that will work in Fangio’s favor. He’s heard the same as Allbright – Fangio is safe.
Fangio staying and Elway drafting another QB? Perfect

I can see Elway being all over that BYU QB. He’s 6’3” so that makes him an ideal fit for what Elway looks for.

The guy looks like a spoiled frat boy

I'd take him. I don't really care who the backup is it's not like the Chiefs can spend any appreciable $ on it once the extension kicks in - Reid can cobble it together with a PE teacher I'm sure he'd get whatever there is to get out of Lock.

True. But Lock has to be the ugliest Human being in the NFL. Do not want to see him on the bench with his helmet off.

For those of us who remember the years of Elway, I can honestly say I dont recall who the backup to Elway was, for 20 ****ing years, I dont remember who the backup was. There might have been a game in 1985 where Elway didnt play, but it didnt matter.

KC has Mahomes for a very long time. The backup is irrelevant.

Gary Kubiak spent his entire career backing up horseface.

That sounds correct...fortunately for Gary, he managed a moderately successful coaching career from it. Good on Koobs...

Right. Lock would be fine as a backup to Mahomes. Plus, bet 2 off-seasons we could rehab his image since he has spent time with the QB guru Reid and get another 2nd round pick down the road!
