*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

We are only currently paying a post rookie contract to Chris Jones on the defense.

We can afford to pay a couple more of our better players.

I expect they keep Sneed and Bolton and Gay walks.

Yeah, of the three I would say Gay is the most expendable of that group.

We are owed it after years of enduring the reminder of taking Blackledge over Marino, Grbac, Bono, Huard, Croyle, Cassel, etc....

I could see keeping Sneed over Justin Reid.

Heard another AFC GM claim that the first round pick is basically a coin-flip and the percentages go down from there. Our GM appears to disagree and KNEW from day 1 that Pat was the real deal.

Yup. On the Andy Reid New Heights podcast, Andy said that Veach not only pushed for him, but said Mahomes was the best player he had ever seen.

Pivot: apparently Mahomes fixed Trey lance's shit during those camps Pat held a month ago or so. Guess we'll see in preseason.
Come on Patrick, draw the line at helping QB’s that could stand between us and another SB championship.

Wrong. Sneed will get a big FA contract. We have to sign, Creed, Smith and Bolton to extensions next year to spread the cap hits out.

They ignored it. Cause its their job to get clicks. Mahomes doing the smart thing and focusing on winning and not taking a mega contract is boooooooring. So if they can stir the pot to maybe somehow get Mahomes to think otherwise, its good business for them.

God, imagine having a job like that. Where you have to be the most unlikable schmuck in an attempt to get clicks, all in the name of "journalism". I think I'd rather jump off a bridge.

I know it is still pretty early on in his career, but I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that this Mahomes fella has a pretty decent chance of panning out for us.
