Off Season Lets Talk Guns, Part 2

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

This is my problem with them. Insanely loud and you won't be using hearing protection in a hunting environment.

Is the recoil causing you to flinch? The padded butt should help there along with heavier clothing. There are also shoulder-padded hunting vests and jackets but you can get too bulky causing bad results just like flinching.

You get into weird shooting positions from a stand that gets you feeling the kick and honestly more shooting helps because it toughens you up. Shooting from the bench all sandbagged up is good for sighting in for best groups but doesnt get tuned into the shoulder shock.

Easy to mold and work really well. Comfortable and you can still ambient sound For $75.00 it is a pretty good deal. Glad I bought them. Good bye earmuffs.

Thanks. Did you shoot with them yet? Range Master had molded ears when I went shooting yesterday, I meant to ask what kind but spaced it.

Yes, used them yesterday at the indoor range. I like them and for 75 bucks I won't freak out if I lose them. One great thing is if you don't like how they fit after you mold them you can re-do it.

I cant stand those over the ear sound muffs. I just use the ear canal marshmallows. I just grab a handful at construction foremens tailor office and put in a box at home. I am set for years they work great if you smash down before inserting in ear canal. If don't do it right they are annoying and fall out. You can hear to talk but they dampen out the damaging stuff.

Eh, might be worth a call, but....

There weren't many left on the shelf when I found them. But maybe they are holding some back in the backroom?

Was this the Lee’s Summit or KCK location?

Although I guess it doesn’t really matter as I’m not walking into either location until I know they aren’t going to enforce the illegal mask mandate.

Good to know but, you might want to delete the second part of that post. We live in a nation of tattletalers.
