Alex Smith Traded to Chiefs

Well, it looks like the deal is done.

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
Deal has been agreed upon between Chiefs and 49ers. Compensation unclear but I'm told again Chiefs have made a clear commitment to Smith.

In this draft, the #34 pick represents a franchise cornerstone-type guy. That's unusual to find that kind of value.

Give somebody $5000 on the street and see if they're nice to you.

That's what we just did.
Nah they still have a second round pick playing quarterback for them. Plenty of heart break still to come for the 49ers.

You know, I was a 49'ers fan before Montana was traded to the chiefs.

I wanted KC to draft Kaepernick. And the 49'ers apparently know how to run a franchise.

And I live in California.

I'm a ****ing 49'ers fan now.

God, you Chiefs fans must hate life. What a terrible franchise you have. I'm so glad my team isn't as bad as Kansas City.

(This doesn't help, but hopefully I get used to it)

JFC please calm down and step back from the ledge.
Mediocrity is the experience. Mediocrity only breeds more mediocrity. We can make the playoffs and have no real chance to do anything. Big whoop.

The San Francisco 49ers have agreed to trade quarterback Alex Smith to the Kansas City Chiefs, a league source confirmed to ESPN.com's John Clayton.

Kansas City will trade its second-round pick in the 2013 draft -- the second selection (No. 34 overall) in the round -- as well as another conditional mid-round pick in 2014 to acquire Smith from San Francisco, a league source told ESPN.
That is still way too ****ing much. Smith is not worth it.

Interesting new era QB, great history, new stadium?

You may be onto something
