So at best you were probably getting one of the Jets picks at the top of the 2nd round. At least with 29…you’re getting that 5th year option.

For the "it will be no trouble to draft a WR to replace Tyreek" crowd... look at the Chiefs history of getting immediate/starting impacts from their rookie WR's under Andy Reid... it is terrible.

I hope you're right.

I want every single one of those picks used in the draft, unless Veach can pull some magic with a trade for a young playmaker - someone that can actually help you this season and beyond.

Otherwise, take your medicine this year and possibly next and be ready to roll when all these draftees are starting to emerge.

Good Gawd! Mofo's in here crying like it's the end of the Chiefs.

Chiefs might have a bit of a down year but overall this can make the Chiefs a better team for a longer amount of time.

Yep.

This is one of those moments. There's no remaining neutral on a trade like this.

He either does well in the draft and all is (relatively) forgiven or he dies on this hill (no pun intended).

That's silly. The Chiefs were rewarded for being loyal.

Not only did they keep him on a cheap contract, they also got a SB out of him.

We can't miss here as we don't have a #1 WR on the team right now.

Short term sucks, long term could be great with Pat.

We were going to have to retool soon anyway. Deep WR draft, 4 picks in the first 64?

Cap space too, you can extend Brown now.

Makes a lot of sense. Reek was not the one guy taking us back to the top!

The only thing I might do is use a later pick to move up from 29 for a DE if one is there like Johnson or Karlaftis. Otherwise just stay put and add young, cost controlled talent to this team.

Perspective people! We got FIVE freaking picks. FIVE! Lets wait and see who Veach turns those picks into. I have confidence a couple of years down the road it will be clear we got the best of the trade.
Yes, the Vikings have clearly eclipsed the Bills in team fortunes!!

Seems like I can't go a day without hearing a Vikings fans making fun of the poor pitiful Bills.
