Off Season Lets Talk Guns, Part 2

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

You can't go wrong with Savage no-frills plain old good rifles. My brother's first deer rifle was a Savage 99 lever action with the rotating magazine in .300 savage. That was a great deer cartridge much better ballistics than the 30-30 win. The .308 win was based on the .300 Savage cartridge. There is still debate that the .300 savage is still the better round but when the US military adopted the .308 it took a backseat. The .300 Savage is still popular today and easily found over counter ammo. My brother still prefers the Savage 99 in the Missouri brush for whitetails. I have the dies and a special load I reload just for him.

Arthur Savage is a lessor known John Browning and the inventor of the Tommy Gun and many airplane mounted rotary magazine machine guns. He and his partner Joshua Stevens are a pretty interesting read of there history in gun design.

Had the .30-06 I use for hunting not been the right price, .308 would have been "in the cart". It's the best all-around round IMO.

“It’s clear that the NRA has been failing to carry out its stated mission for many, many years and instead has operated as a breeding ground for greed, abuse and brazen illegality,” she said at a news conference.
It seems that they're carrying out their mission TOO WELL for NY's taste, thus the law suit.

Sounds like a good time for us to all leave our guns unsecured and forget to lock the doors occasionally. Then when some dude sneaks in and takes them all, at least we won't have to deal with turning them in.

Indeed. Every damned gun I had was recently, and mysteriously, stolen from my home. Every. Damned. One. of. Them. I'm fairly certain that it was Antifa. Those spoiled little fellas.......

And you couldn't call the cops because when you do, that comes from a place of white privilege. And you are better than that.

Mine were lost at sea (in a lake). A boating accident, and I don't know any SCUBA dudes to go find mine.

Is this the wrong time to mention I or someone similar to me may have possibly acquired this Mossy 930 SPX yesterday? Nothing fancy but a welcome hypothetical addition to the alleged family.
