*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

Mahomes is among the 5 best draft choices ever at #10 and he’s only been in the league 4 years:

He'll be #1 with a bullet within a couple years, no doubt

The other 4 on that list are retired and 3 of them are in HOF. Only one not in HOF retired too recently to be eligible. That’s excellent company for someone in the league for 4 years with 3 years starting.

John Gruden knew it was Mahomes.

He knew that his friend Andy got his Favre.

That’s how it was for me. I didn’t know that much about Mahomes at the time to be honest, but I was so happy they made a move, and was going to develop a 1st Rd QB. All the drafts I had seen come and go with no QB’s in the first were forgotten afterwards.

No more “Well, we didn’t go after a QB this year, but there weren’t any solid prospects” justifications and excuses around the water cooler the following week. They pulled the trigger and ended up knocking it out of the park. Hell out of the county.
