The 10pm thread (archived)
The big anti-hijack thread.....
Talk about anything, but if this works than we don't have to keep looking around all the threads to see who is still on tonight, and every night, or even every day! Talk about the chiefs, talk about tomorrow, talk about football, politics or even how to do flooring and the applicable budget. What you're drinking, how hard it is to sleep, etc. Every thing is acceptable in this thread..... http://www.timeanddate.com/worldcloc...om.html?sort=2 see for yourself, it is ten o'clock somewhere. I doubt you can do that.
You know that girl I was seeing? Well she's like my best friend. One of two best friends anyway. Her dad has cancer and today they did a surgery to see if the cancer had spread. It had. They give him less than 6 months to live. |

Thanks.
I don't know how the hell I am supposed to stay strong for her when I can't even stay strong for myself. I think I might drink heavily tonight. |

Bro, I feel for you. I lost my dad to cancer last year. I don't wish that on my worst enemy. IMHO drinking it away won't do anything but make it worse tomorrow. Keep strong.

Cancer thinks it wins because it takes a life. Fortunately, that is not true. Cancer will always lose if the patient fights and the family is by his or her side. Even if Cancer eventually takes the life, it does not have the power to take the person's soul or the memories of that person shared by those that love him. Just be there for her because it will not be easy. |

I'm not trying to be a douche here, but Cancer definitely wins if someone dies. That's a life, dude.

I am going to beg to differ. I don't want to send the ****ing 10pm thread to DC, but Cancer is only physical. It is not spiritual. I am just going to leave it at that. Cancer only wins, if you let it win.

I completely understand where your coming from. It just really sucks to see someone you love go through the pain and agony for so long, with hope they can beat it.
