His contract makes him untradeable. Even if the Chiefs got a Jared Allen-type haul for him, the dead money would be nearly crippling and not worth the extra players we'd get through the draft.

Yeah, Chris Jones certainly wouldn't want to play football two weeks in a row or anything. Would rather count his millions on the couch.

I mean before the Chiefs gave Jones the new contract,i wish they would have considered trading him then. But,they are too loyal to their guys, sometimes.

leadership?

He's never been a leader. He's always been undisciplined, whatever spot he lines up in. He's a physical talent, but he has never been a team player. He's a stat chaser, and he got paid.

He's paid to be a difference maker; how often is he a difference maker? Don't quote me season stats; I want to know how often has Chris Jones stood up and made THE DIFFERENCE, in a game, in an important moment?

He is NOT Aaron Donald. Not the same animal at all.

Gawd I hope Mahomes really didn't have any type of concussion. He looked pretty out of it and wobbly. He had the significant one last year. I don't even want to think about him becoming concussion prone.

We can't cut him. Perhaps some other team will be enamored with his stats and trade for him.

I agree that he's not really a leader type, but In fairness he tipped three passes late in the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl.
