I dunno, the only sources I've seen him out of the top 15 is the draft simulator sites. I haven't really kept tabs too tightly this year though. I'll say this, if he falls outside 15 I'd be on the phone to try to trade up for the kid.

It’s not just the draft simulator sites, I’ve seen multiple respected draft guys having him fall that far in their mocks. But yea if he makes it to like 18ish, I’m picking up the phone and starting to make calls.

Yeah, I've been hard pressed to find him taken in the first half of a mock draft.

17-22 seems to be the predicted range for right now.

Sweats heart condition probably screwed us. When he inevitably slides, it'll just push Ferrell up.

I wasn't huge on sweat before the heart so this pretty much sucks.

BTW, if Veach was a part of Senior Bowl standouts as automatic 1st round candidates then Sweat and Omenihu are "clustered" targets.

What about Anthony Nelson out of Iowa?

CBS Sports draft writer Chris Trapasso lists Iowa DE Anthony Nelson as a "Plan B" for teams that miss out on Ohio State EDGE Nick Bosa.
Bosa is likely going in the first five picks -- it'd be an upset if he falls out of the top three right now -- but Nelson (6'7/271) could be a nice fallback option, as Trapasso mentions. "[Nelson] has the most advanced repertoire of pass-rushing moves at the edge rusher spot in this class after Bosa and demonstrated high caliber athleticism at the combine with a three-cone drill time in the 92nd percentile at his position as well as a broad and vertical in the 82nd and 87th percentiles respectively," he writes. Right now, it looks like Nelson will be a Day 2 pick, and he could be a steal in that range.

Anthony Nelson is a great kid. I used to work with his dad (who also played DL for Iowa). He's tough, he's got good measurable, and he's got a great work ethic.

Usually "motor" is a code word for "not athletic". He's plenty athletic AND has a motor too. He's used to playing in a scheme that emphasizes getting pass rush out of the front 4.

I honestly think he's a PERFECT fit for this defense and would love to see him as a Chief.

I really like Nelson but the one big issue I have with him is his struggle to bend and close when he gains the outside shoulder of the tackle. He is very unorthodox there. I think he can learn at least better technique there but I don't think he'll ever have the hip flexion to truly bend the corner.

And for the record, I'm not high on Montez Sweat at all.

The games I got to watch of him, he was the anti-Anthony Nelson. I only got to see some nationally-televised games of his and he all but disappeared in some of them.

And just like Dollar Tree, you'll be getting 90% of the same product for a fraction of the cost.

Yeah I don't see it either. Looks really clunky and doesn't set the edge all that well.
