If anything it's the opposite. The Chiefs want to keep Butker healthy so he can stay with us long term.

Brett is a nice man and I like him was my general point.
And this is why we are back to back champions. Other teams (Cough San Fran Cough) don't even know the OT rules in the post season

At some point the surrender option of kick it into or out of the end zone and have opponent start drive at 30 yard line will be used a lot.

Teams with 3 score leads and teams with key special teamers hurt will just say kick it out of the end zone and if receiving team has bottom of league offense they will get to start a lot of drives at 30 yard line.

Players rarely get injured on a touchback, and the reduction in touchbacks may be less than anticipated because at some point, the 5 yard difference of drives starting at the 30 yard line compared to the 25 yard line will make not much difference at the margins considering the quality of the teams in the game.

Has anyone ever been injured on a touchback? I don't remember ever seeing it happen, though I guess there would be some collisions early in the kick that the camera doesn't show.

I bet it's more likely that a guy would pull a hamstring running downfield.

Now I'm curious.

This is something I thought would happen as he seems to be the perfect returner with these new kickoff rules.
