Especially when our hitters refuse to take walks. I think our offense would be much better if we had better discipline at the plate and took a few walks. We swing at too many pitches out of the zone to help the oppositions pitching. It's been a problem with the Royals for years that they are not selective enough at the plate imo.

If management isn't willing to get the players it needs to at least try and right this ship (one outfield bat and at least ONE DECENT relief pitcher), then I suspect this is going to be our high water mark for the season.

It's like "Well, we improved. You should be happy."

I don't want just improvement. I want to compete, dammit!
