Marvel burn out is real

Three episodes of Hawkeye out and no one so much as talking about it in the MCU general discussion, let alone given it it’s own thread.

Personally, I’m enjoying it. Hailee Steinfield’s spunky and can’t leave well enough alone character plays perfectly off of Hawkeye’s more no nonsense personality. So far this has been more in line with what I expected from Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

I realize Hawkeye isn’t a big fan favorite; maybe it’s just Renner’s portrayal of him but, I enjoy the character and, at least to this point enjoying the series.

I was pretty much tired of it after Civil War. Besides the Guardians of the Galaxy and Antman movies, I havent seen any other Marvel movies.

Personally I enjoyed Daredevil and Punisher more than any of the movies. I wish those shows were continuing.

FYI, it looks like a character from Daredevil is going to show up in this Hawkeye series judging by the most recent episode.

I'm looking forward to it, but just really busy and so much other shit coming out right now. Will wait until it's over and watch it in a few days.

I agree.

Endgame was it for me. I haven’t watched Marvel since.

the last Marvel movie I watched was the first Avengers. Hawkeye was my favorite in that. I thought Renner did well with that character. I'll check this series out eventually.

I love the MCU and will watch just about anything if only to be fully up to date with the storylines. Wanda vision was my favorite of these new Disney+ shows. Loki and Falcon/Winter Soldier were just alright. Still too early to tell on Hawkeye. The movies since Endgame have been pretty average for the most part, but I know we have some big ones yet to come. I personally feel like they’re going way overboard now with putting diversity as the top priority over just selling a blockbuster movie that fans will enjoy, but I guess we’ll see going forward how it works out.

I'll get to Hawkeye eventually, though I did forego watching What If. It's just too much stuff to stay on top of.

The good news is that it's pretty easy to catch up with a short-term binge now and then.

That Eternals movie I haven’t seen. But seems like it made decent money. Although I haven’t heard many people talk about it.

There hasn't been any overlap at all in any of the recent stuff as far as I can tell. You'd be safe watching Shang Chi, Loki, Wandavision, and Eternals in whatever order you want to. (I can't speak to What If or Hawkeye, though.)

It's one of the weaker MCU flicks, but it's not bad if you try not to think about it too much.

I don't know if it's burn out or the market is just too oversaturated. As a non-marvel fan boy who still enjoys the films and such, i have a real hard time giving a shit about these "b" class characters like Hawkeye.

I think a lot of people agree.

Shang-Chi had a great release and Spider-Man just smashed records for pre-sales like a week ago.

Plus, Hawkeye specifically is probably the weakest character in the universe.

Didn’t even know it was out yet. Not even sure if I’ll get around too watching it. Loki was good, but it’s feels like there’s been an overload of all the new characters and streaming services since Endgame.
