I’ll leave the arguments for the sports shows. But I enjoyed watching her. I normally don’t enjoy watching the judged events.

Based on limited results, should I make a poll between her and Phelps?
Not mahomes Or Jordan Or Jim Thorpe Or Muhammad Ali Et. Al. |

Probably pretty high, IDK this is a football forum lol
Anyone remember when that tiny white girl broke her leg and still stuck the landing!? ...Simone feels like she brings similar attention to the sport. |

I mean, I want to say Phelps and eventually ledecky because the sport just feels more traditionally sporty for me. But hard to argue the logic of the OP. Biles doing all this at her age is like a 45 year old nba player putting one of the best seasons of all time.
I think I’m content to just realize how blessed we are to watch all 3 of these in our lifetime. |

She choked pretty bad in 2020-2021 Tokyo Olympics. Phelps never blew it like that during his prime years.

Sure it’s different but that doesn’t diminish one over the other. And as I understand it, each gymnast technically competes to qualify in each apparatus final and the all around final. Thats how she did so well in 2016 with five medals. So there have been more chances for her in the past but she just didn’t qualify/compete. And regardless of reason outside injury, in her last Olympics she had to drop out of some events. Though this year she has three more individual events so she’ll probably add more. |

After this Olympics, Biles will have had the opportunity to get 18 medals in 3 different Olympics. Phelps, whom I legit love, has competed in 31 Olympic events across 6 different Olympics. 2000 - 1 event 2004 - 8 events 2008 - 8 events 2012 - 6 events 2016 - 6 events Last edited by dlphg9; 08-02-2024 at 03:50 PM.. |

In synchronized diving the other day, the Chinese team was given the benefit of the doubt from judges on the synchronization score even though they were NOT synchronized. Other teams were better synchronized than them, but the judges let China off the hook. Possible money in the pocket of the judges? There have been corruption scandals in the past with Olympic judges in various sports. |
