but bolton being better than gay is irrelevant

and gay is probably better than the others you mentioned (at OLB / will/ sam)

Tranquil is good and serviceable but he has been used as a backup I dont hink you can say he is "better" yet..IMO

Chenal is like bolton , bigger and more of a ILB

Gay was probably the fastest LB we had and probably the best OLB

Not a bad price, and would have liked to keep him. I get that it becomes a numbers game when you have four starter-quality players for three spots and some of those players step off the field on passing downs. He just had a gear that Tranquill doesn’t have, even though Tranquill has better instincts. Just can’t keep everyone.

Hope he gets to play there and earns a bigger deal next year

He was a great energy guy, but if the decision was Tranquil vs. Gay, I'm happy we stuck with Drue.

Yeah i guess 5 million is pretty spendy..

I didnt realize the exact numbers but 5 million would be like top 20-30 pay in the league...

which he isnt

so yeah, I guess he is taking a chance for 5 million and he is probably gonna bust his ass and play his heart out so he scores a multi year deal from another team in a year.

I think NOLA is gonna get a lot for that 5 million... because Gay's financial future depends on it.
