The Bills take the AFC this seasom

Are you ready for some football!?

I know I am!

With that, I am here to make a proclamation!

The mighty Bills from Buffalo will take the AFC this year.

For two decades I watched people say the Patriots window was closed, that their time was dwindling, that it was all over… seemingly every time those predictions happened, the Patriots went and won another Super Bowl.

A lot of doom talk simply because we lost to the Bengals in the playoffs. Let us not forget that the Bills watched their brother DIE on the field just a few weeks prior. Their heart was simply not in it. If it had been, the Bills would have captured the AFC last year.

The Bills have won 2 of their last 3 in Arrowhead and they’re ready to make it 3 of the last 4.

Let’s go mighty Buffalo Bills! 🦬 🦬 🦬

Elway's a pretty good comp for Allen. Great talent, but mistake-prone and doesn't play great consistently. I think Montana was always the better QB.

There was a great moment on Two Bills Drive earlier... Somebody started a thread about the Tom and Jerry play as an example of how Mahomes only beats Allen due to Reid's genius and Buffalo's lack of creativity. Then someone pointed out that it was actually a play stolen from the Bills by Bienemy last year.

The mental gymnastics bills, ravens and bengals fans perform to convince themselves that Mahomes success is the result of anything but the fact that he is simply better is the most hilarious part.

I'd love to see Josh Allen throwing to the Chiefs receivers. It would be hysterically bad.

And he's not the kind of QB who would do well throwing to Kelce.

Mahomes elevates talent. Allen needed Diggs to even be relevant in the NFL.

Why do you say that? He seems to be doing pretty good with Knox & Kincaid in the tight end spot.

Because Kelce and Mahomes have a special connection that elevates both players.

Josh doesn't have that with anyone.

Kelce would probably never be open enough for Josh to get him 110 catches.

Shrug. Kelce was awesome with Alex Smith too. I think Josh would do very well with him.

But I do agree Buffalo fans would be insanely frustrated with the Chiefs receiving group this season. The entire world got to see a glimpse of this in the Playoffs with Hardman's fumble on the Buffalo goal line in the 4th quarter of a Playoff game and MVS turning a 6 yard gain into a 4 yard loss with the game on the line during Overtime of the Super Bowl. How the hell do you go backwards 10 yards?? And that's just the tip of the iceberg with some of the other bullshit we saw this season from the likes of MVS, Toney, & Skyy Moore.

MVP level seasons according to ESPN's QBR, usually the MVP has a grade of at least 70/100:

Mahomes has 4 of them (2018, 2019, 2020, and 2022).
Josh Allen has 3 of them (2020, 2022, and 2023)
Lamar Jackson has 1 MVP worthy season in 2019. Should NOT have been MVP in 2023 with 3 guys pretty far above him in the QBR metric. Lamar was below 65/100 on QBR this season.

Cam Newton didn't even deserve the MVP with a QBR of 61/100 in 2015. Mahomes was 78/100 or better in all 4 of the seasons I mentioned. Hell, Mahomes was 63/100 QBR this season and it was by far his worst year in the regular season.

ESPN QBR fully accounts for the rushing stats of guys like Cam & Lamar, so I think it's pretty fair to hold them to the standard of getting at least 70/100 when they win the MVP. Lamar was 83/100 in 2019, so this season at 64.7 out of 100 is a pretty weak MVP season.

No it's not unfair. Everything in my damn post is true

Bad assumption.

Josh Allen does not process as well as Mahomes nor does he see the field as well.

He also struggles throwing with anticipation. What he does do well is see windows in zones (if there are not a lot of bodies around) and can use his arm to rifle it in there. So he could do some nice things with Kelce but he doesn't have many of the other high-end QB traits that Mahomes has and would not throw as well with ball placement, against man coverage, etc.

The Chiefs have been insanely vulnerable two years in a row in the postseason.

Hobbled Mahomes.

Dogshit offense.

League couldn't do SHIT.

Everyone's ****ed. I legit think Mahomes may get to 7 now.

"We all saw Mahomes true nature after the Kadarius Toney incident trying to go after a ref. He is every bit worse than Tom Brady and just as unlikeable. Meanwhile, Josh Allen loses w/ dignity and is a great person on & off the field. One of my favorite clips… "

It's hard to ask people who dive into tables head first every weekend to discuss quarterback savants like Patrick Mahomes or, say, Lamar Jackson..... neeeerds, this isn't math class, it's football! Football gooder!
