*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

I'm waiting for the 8 TD passes in a game record. It's gonna happen one day and it's probably gonna be Mahomes.

Mahomes had a 113.8 QB rating in the 4th Q and OT.

He was on pace for arguably his worst NFL performance but that competitive fire just doesn’t allow him to wilt and quit physically and mentally.

Global sport has seen some supremely talented individuals and most are best when front runners but it is a rare gift to be able to cruise through the gears and find your best play when your teammates need you most.

My sporting memories stretch back to about 1989/1990 and I can’t think of anybody more clutch at nailing the big moments.

Since 1990, the only athlete with that Clutch Gene in a major sport that I can think of is Jordan. Most guys, even the greats, are as likely to fail in the clutch as they are to succeed. Pre-Terrell Davis John Elway is a good example.

Another record coming up: if Mahomes throws for just 370 something yards this week . . . can't remember exactly, so let's just say just under 379 yards, he'll be the fastest QB to 10,000 yards in NFL history. Basically in 34 games? And he only played the first quarter of one of those games.

I think he needed 377 to do it in 33 games and is about 70 yards short after Sunday.

I think he needs to throw for 70 in the next 2 to break Warner's record (who hit it in 36, IIRC).

I think he'll probably just sneak by...

That's right, 377, thx.

Mahomes is the great white shark of records.
