Lamar Jackson

I was pretty skeptical about him but he is legit. If the Ravens keep the D up as they always do I can see many battles in the playoffs against them for awhile.

The Lamar Hype train is getting ridiculous.

Frank Scrub of Yahoo- Proclaims him the most electrifying player in ANY SPORT!

Lamar did throw for an amazing 169 yards against a pitiful Lambs team that mailed it in.

The stupid arguments will continue to come. First he was just an athlete that couldn't throw. When he proved he could throw, he's too dumb to be a QB.

I wonder what trait would make people jump to the conclusion that he's just a dumb athlete

It's funny how they were saying all these things about Mahomes last year, now that he's been out for a few games, the leeches need someone else to suction onto.

Not sure what we’ll rounded means but Mahomes can’t run like Jackson. But Jackson isn’t the passer Mahomes is either.

It’s about even as far as threat goes.

If Lamar goes one and done (shall we talk about WC weekend last year?) does he get the rep that he can't win in the post season?

A healthy mahomes is a million times the threat Jackson is. Jackson is only a threat because he's great within his system. I can't see lamar doing well even with kcs weapons. Easy to see mahomes dominate with the ravens weapons.

Eh, I think the NFL has proven that Running QB's are a flash in the pan. Barring a freak injury *knock on wood* I would wager that Mahomes has a longer career than Jackson because of their playstyles.

Naaaaaah.

The system was built around Lamar.

Lamar made the system. The system didn't make him.

His speed and elusiveness are unlike anything we've seen at the position.

Don't start talking "system" shit.

Mahomes or Jackson...wherever those boys go the system will change to cater to THEM.

Won’t dispute that. But here in the present and now, Lamar Jackson is extreme threat to the Chiefs chances of making it to the big dance.

I look forward to the challenge. This could be Brady / Manning for the next several years.

He rarely runs between the tackles. You just have to play contain and not get tempted into rushing him too hard so that you force him to pass. He will make some plays but I’ll take my chances that he won’t consistently beat you on third and long. The Chiefs did it pretty well and I can’t quite figure out why other teams aren’t doing the same.

Because other teams don't threaten the Ravens defense like the Chiefs do.

We can play a contained mush-rush and then hope coverage holds up. He's still not a great passer.

The strat should still be to make him throw. Only way you can FORCE him to throw though is to keep laying it on their defense.

And i love me some Marcus Peters, but he's prone to a lapse. It's only a matter of time. That defense can be had.

Yea, how the hell did the Chiefs beat them and lose to the Titans, Colts and Texans???

Why doesn't more teams play zone against him? That is how we shut him down was zone. They are playing this stupid man defense. The way to stop them is zone and spy. Lamar isn't going to throw for 300 yards its just not in his DNA. He is a run first pass second QB. This debate needs to stop!
