Catcher framing alone should make the MLB move to robot umps. The whole idea that pitch framing is so important makes me upset. It SHOULDNT matter. And the fact that it does is bullshit. I equate it to flopping in the NBA. I hate that shit. MAKE THE RIGHT CALL.

Also, even though he's having a horrible year overall, Nick Pratto seems to be turning things around a bit. Went 2-4 tonight with a double and HR.

He's hitting .333 over the last 10 games and has posted an .800+ OPS over the last month following their All Star break.

Why is Zimmer getting passed by constantly? Do they hate him? All these other scrubs get chance after chance after chance, but not Zimmer. He must have been caught masturbating.

Not saying Staumont is a scrub. Just everyone else is.

He had a rough start last year, too. Might need some time to adjust at each level, or might be one of those guys who needs time to sync his swing each year. Or maybe a bit of both.

Staumont has been better and more consistent as the opener, and doing it longer. They probably don’t want to run 2 openers right now.

With Mondesi out, why hasn't Lopez moved to SS and Merrifield to 2nd? Seems to me to make much more sense to give Brett Phillips at bats rather than Arteaga.

Because we aren't trying to win baseball games.

Staumont is a higher ranked prospect than Zimmer at this point.

Plus, this team drafted Kyle Zimmer seven years ago, and this year is the first time he's ever pitched 25 games in a season. I figure he'll be up in September but who cares? This is literally the first time in seven years of pro baseball he's had any kind of sustained success. There's zero reason to rush him up to a 100 loss team.
