that trade scenario is so dumb.
So the productive difference between Rice and Lamb is suppose to be worth 2 1sts? LOL WUT? Again, LOL WUT. |

Not to mention having to pay Lamb over $30M per year when Rice is still on a cheap rookie deal for 3 more seasons. Two years ago the Chiefs dumped the #1 ranked player in the league because they didn't want to pay him $30M per year. And they won 2 Super Bowls in a row without him. Receivers are overrated and overpaid.

Yeah ceedee is a hell of a player but rice is immensely more valuable than draft picks right now because he's cheap and we know he's good. I beat the drum for WRs last year but right now I'm very pleased with where we're at. If anything we could always use an extra role player but it's not necessary. I'd love to see a checkdown option who runs great routes and catches every damn thing even if they're not a burner. Maybe Ross fits that bill

I wouldn't trade Rice for Lamb straight up, because of the money alone.
As mentioned by others, the difference in production doesn't warrant giving up the extra picks, let alone the cap space impact. |

Also, I know I'm picking a scab but it's definitely something to factor in if we're talking trades:
Be it suspension or worse Rice's future isn't exactly solid. The Chiefs aren't exactly dealing with a even deck. Not negotiation time IMHO. He's still on rookie contract and we're not dealing with pocket aces. Hang on till we know. |
