Any Bourbon drinkers out there?

I've heard some good things about Buffalo Trace Bourbon.
http://www.buffalotrace.com/

Can't get it up here north of the border but, through a wine distributer I am able to order a case. Would like to hear from someone who knows their stuff and has tried it before I order.

Thanks

Unless you were talking about the Yellow Spot, if so, I liked it but felt it wasn't worth the price.
That link takes me to my Total Wine in Sarasota, where it’s $71.

I used to drink Redbreast regularly until about 10 years ago, but it has gotten expensive.

I haven’t had him beam in a long while, I may have to give that a try again. 4 roses is good, and surprisingly I’ve found traders joes whisky to be very good bang for your buck as well, made from Buffalo trace.

That was my initial plan, but I did some google and got worried about mold, bacteria, bugs, and what not.

Evan Williams Single Barrel is nice at 30 bucks or so. I actually enjoy regular Evans, I prefer the white label "Bottled in Bond". You can drink it straight or in a mixer, neet with a little water or on ice. It's a really nice affordable daily drinker.

This morning I checked it and it was fully sealed and pretty full still.

Now my question, do I need to worry about bacteria or mold
Or anything after it sat empty? I was just about to fill it but I decided to put the sanitation mixture with boiling water in it just in case. Although I was looking forward to using the flavor from the last batch.
I got one a couple of Christmas' ago. I had filled it with water, and sat it in the sink full of water. It sealed up nicely. Then, I experimented with a bunch of cheap bourbons in it. It's never been really empty, so I've never had to worry about mold or what have you. It's been 2 years and no problems. It's great for taking a cheap whiskey and making it drinkable.

I got my barrel all cleaned out. I was worried about losing the charred wood flavor and didn’t want to burn it again after only one use(and a few months of drying out then cleaning). So I did the whole cleaning process then ran my cold air smoker in it a little bit to add some smoke flavor. I used the euro malt whisky essence it came with and mixed that with moonshine. Threw in a few brown sugar cubes, orange bitters, and syrup from maraschino cherries.

I also just ordered a few more better whisky essene options for the next batch. After those I might just pour cheap whisky in and see how that tastes after a few weeks, but I don’t want to let it dry out again.
