While it's almost certainly driven in part by Sweden's low testing rate, it's kind of amusing that Covidly currently has them at a "7" while the U.S. is currently at a "5".

Granted I've looked in the past few weeks, but it's gotta be pete and Donger at the top. I can't imagine anyone else is anywhere close to them.

Maybe it just changed but they have us at a 6. But is your point that there is little difference between the two?

It's an algorithm-based number, so it shifts every time new data is added. I just think it's interesting that they're "in better shape" than we are given that they've had such a lax version of social distancing.

That is interesting. I don't know if you listened to the 2 doctors from CA the other day but there is something to be said for basically going on with life with minimal though not necessarily insignificant mitigation steps???

The angle of the sun is such that Vitamin D synthesis is difficult in countries at that latitude. They expanded their fortification of Vitamin D in foods a few years back, but I haven't read/seen any population-level studies of Vitamin D levels there since the change.

I also don't know if other Nordic countries have done the same or not. If not, they would serve as a control.
