The Motorcycle Discussion Thread
I figure there are some motorcycle guys/gals on CP, so I thought we could have a place to talk all things Motorcycles.
Tire Mount and Balance Prices (as of 10/29/16) Prices based on if you remove the wheels yourself and bring the wheels and new tires with you: Cycle Gear - $35 per wheel if you buy tires from them. $58 per wheel if you buy tires elsewhere Rawhide - $65 per wheel (assuming it would be the same at other HD dealers. they book it at 1/2 hr per wheel) C R Cycle Tires (DeSoto) - $30 per wheel Cheapest I've found my Michelin Commander II's. Seem like they have good prices on other brands too. http://www.jakewilson.com - Free 3 day shipping on orders over $75 Last edited by Dayze; 10-29-2016 at 09:02 PM.. |

They will do fine, they just need to understand that it's a process and they need to follow the path. |

Hell, I still to this day will sometimes go out and just 'practice' low speed stuff in wide open areas; or emergency stops; or I'll force myself to focus on a given skill that particular day. |

I'll look into Signal Mountain. That might be a place we could check out on our journey back. Thanks for the suggestion. |

I was able to do a two week ride out West a few years back. I went through Yellowstone, which although beautiful, is downright hazardous on a motorcycle. Low visibility with all the campers in front of you, and traffic suddenly coming to a halt whenever someone sees a bear. It's probably the only time I'd wished I was in a car on a sunny day. |

I used to be able to roll in on my Street Glide, and bang a u-turn within the confines of the dimensions of my driveway to back it into my garage. All about momentum, and commitment and if you're in that zone of counter steer speed or not.
My brother though I was nuts. but I was nowhere near that good as the Cop on the bike. |
