Every interview I’ve seen him give on the topic (including this most recent one) has made it quite obvious to me that he wanted to return to KC if the money was anywhere close to right. Watch the interview. He basically did say that later in it after initially making up some bullshit about targets. It was really the only choice he had unless he wanted to give up a ton of guaranteed millions.
