Launch attempt today at 6:53pm EST. (I say attempt because weather is pretty iffy.)
No landing on this one. Poor little booster has flown twice before, but now it's time to burn up. |

SpaceX is still on for tonight at the moment, though they're delaying 30 minutes for rain. In other news, Rocketlab is going to try and reuse their first stage, so that's cool! Much smaller rocket, but still.

The Navy 642A/B fire control computers still used toroidal core memory into the 80s.
I still had a way, not that I ever had to use it, to load our sub's fire control computer via paper-tape... Granted, we didn't have 642s, but we sure had them in our schools. The skimmers suffered them into the 90s. LOL, they had sticks that they would use to press down and wiggle all the cards, in all the trays, before they booted it. |
