*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

For some reason I felt a calling to reread the first ~20 pages of this thread tonight and stumbled upon a gem I had long forgotten about: Mahomes draft cover letter in the Players Tribune. (I apparently don’t have privileges to post links or quote posts that contain them, for anyone interested in taking a gander the link is atop page #5)

Standing here in March 2019, this letter is f**king glorious and a perfect embodiment of who Mahomes is and what he was destined to do between then and now. Rereading it, it perfectly foreshadows the path that his career has taken to date. Will be exciting to look back in 20 years and see where we end up.

Yes sir. They dated through high school, but she ended up playing college soccer at UT Tyler ~8.5 hours drive away from Lubbock. She wasn’t at every single game he played in (home and away), but she made a good majority of them.

3. Get more experience. Make better decisions, don’t force passes just because it’s 3rd down (see Ravens interception and risky pass to Benjamin vs. Seahawks). Pretty vague, but experience is important

I don’t buy that “early game jitters” line. Where were they vs. the Colts? 3 straight scoring drives to open the game with excellent precision passing in the biggest Chiefs win in the history of Arrowhead.

As for throwing left, I think Mahomes had a higher rating throwing left than throwing right. Amazing talent. He’s dangerous running in either direction.

When your NFL MVP fannypacks don’t matter. He could wear a chicken suit to church and he would still be a football god in my eyes

Apparently fanny backs are back in style. One of the top accessories sold last according to a story I heard on the radio.

If it takes you 8.5 hours to drive from Tyler to Lubbock, you're doing it wrong.
