Instead of Jefferson how about go after the Lions young receiver. Lions need a DT BAD and they would be fine without Williams.
Lions get Jones+Skyy or MVS and Veach gets #29+Jameson Williams. Rice and Williams are the perfect young WR duo on cheap contracts. Take our now two 1st round picks and trade up and get our LT. Hell even add in more pick/s and go get Joe Alt! Sign me up! |

Jameson Williams is a fancy decoy. If you want a better decoy than MVS just take Franklin. ![]() |

The dynasty thing is set. It's done. There's not more to do for that. What you're looking at now is long term stuff that doesn't happen often.

That said.......I wouldn't do it.
2 1's? Yeah, I'm in there. I'd go for that. I can recoup that no problem with how this group drafts. More than that? Nah, I can sign a FA and draft and see what happens. |

For whatever reason, Chief Fans would rather have Jefferson and his insane contract than cost-controlled years of guys like McDuffie, LJS, Bolton, Creed, Chenal, Rice, etc.
When you trade a bunch of picks for the right to give a guy a huge contract, you LOSE the building blocks of your team. It's stupid, it's lazy, and Bert isn't anywhere dumb enough to do it, fortunately. |

There is a 50% chance that whoever you pick ends up being a skyy moore. Or you have a 100% chance of getting a Justin jefferson. Cost control doesn’t mean shit if it ends up being for a bad player Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Do you really think the draft pick hit rate is >50%? Sure we have had a couple of excellent years, but dont forget that this front office also drafted as their first picks in consecutive years: -breeland speaks -mecole hardman -clyde edwards helaire And traded away a first, second and third for frank clark Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Rice Karlaftis McDuffie Skyy Cook Bolton Creed CEH Gay Based on the last 4 drafts, Veach's hit rate of getting a solid a Started at worst in the first 2 rounds is 77%. Skyy and Clyde look like the only busts. And Clyde was at least useful at times. Speaks and Skyy are the only guys picked in the first 2 rds during Veach's tenure that were absolutely worthless. |
