I think the prevailing wisdom is that 21-50 are their own tier and pretty interchangeable.

Yes, but Mingo is a guy that was a consensus 3rd rounder just a couple weeks ago.

I also think there's a little hyperbole when people say that.

What I'm saying is, I can see him jumping all the way from consensus 3rd to top 50 pick, but I'd be shocked to see him go in the 1st.

Makes total sense. I think the real value seems to be at edge rusher there anyway. Seems like a few guys will fall out of the first round and have great potential.

He doesn't have Metcalfs workout numbers though...nor did he play in an offense that threw that much.

IF we are talking Metcalf comparisons how bout Bryce Ford-Wheaton out of West Virginia? The guy is basically DK Metcalf 2.0 and will probably go in the 3rd if I had to guess.

Imo it's too obvious and that's why other teams don't do it as it's showing your hand. Chiefs met with Broderick Jones at the combine and then had him in for a visit today. That's two meetings so with a guy many assume won't be there at 31 so what does that tell you? I think it will be OT, WR or DL and it will be best player available from those positions.
