*****2024 NFL DRAFT THREAD - NO SPOILERS*****

Version 2024 - PATRICK MAHOMES & THE HUNT FOR THE THREEPEAT

Let's ****ing do this.

Quote:
Rules for once the draft begins:
  1. No spoiled picks in this thread, all weekend. This means that as tweets are leaking picks a few minutes before the selection is announced live, you don't post it in this thread (ex: embedded tweets), reference it in this thread (ex: Joe Slapdick says it's So and So to Green Bay) or hint at it (ex: "it's a RB!").
  2. Don't be a dick.
Otherwise, have fun, talk shit, freak out and lose your goddamned minds. It's Draft Weekend. The hot takes in these threads are so funny. I'll also be starting player threads for each of our picks as they are made, with videos and notable stats/takes in the OP. These separate threads will be made as soon as the news breaks, outside of this thread. I will link the threads below. Pure knee-jerk gold to reference in the future.

Here are our picks:

Round 1, #28: Xavier Worthy
Round 2, #63: Kingsley Suamataia
Round 4, #131: Jared Wiley
Round 4, #133: Jaden Hicks
Round 5, #159: Hunter Nourzad
Round 6, #211: Kamal Hadden
Round 7, #248: C.J. Hanson

Here is a list of the prospects the Chiefs have shown interest in this year.

People aren't going to get excited if that's the pick, but it's an incredibly safe pick and makes a ton of sense.

Picking at 32 solid picks are what you should be aiming for.

I think you need LT in the first it’s going to be easier to move around in the second to grab a WR they like .

Hate to tell you this but the top guys including Paul will go top 40.

They have to take a tackle first if they want a good one

We are going to end up with the best CB or DL available after a run on Wideouts and Tackles and nobody pulls a trigger on a trade with the 2 time champs.

People may give them shit for this but if I’m Minnesota or NYG I am absolutely giving the Patriots what they want for 3 in order to get Drake Maye. Nothing else matters if you don’t have a real QB.

Hell if I was the Vikings I would give 11, 23, a 2025 1st, a 2025 4th and even a 2026 2nd if it meant I could land Maye. They already have their LT, Addison, Hockenson and Jefferson.

None of those picks will mean dick if they don’t get the QB

And if Maye is a bum, you got fired, which is why teams hedge so hard on this shit.

I think he raises the efficiency and floor of our offense in a much-needed way and that can get us closer to the 2022 version that was so damned productive.

As the saying goes “a ship in the harbor is safe, but that’s not what ships were built for.”

Next years QB class stinks and they have what they need now. You have to take a risk if you want to be successful. Every good team does.

Drake Maye shit is all over the place, I'm not sure he's going to be a top of the line QB...they may have gotten rid of Cousins to replace him with a slightly more athletic version.

If he started at LT his size and athleticism alone would make it hard for pass rushers to bull rush him or win with their hands.

Only worry is he’s so tall that excellent speed rusher that can dip with speed on the edge are hard for enormous fall players like Mims to handle at times
