I’d love it if this kid earns a starting job as RG.

Brown
Thuney
Humphrey
Smith
Niang

That could be a very young and dominating OL that would be under contract together for the next 4 years once Brown signs an extension.

Crazy to think about the potential for that OL.

Man, again, Veach's ability and willingness to do what is necessary to fix the offensive line is straight otherworldly. After watching that o-line debacle four months ago to seeing where we are now with that group is something no GM we've ever had would have even attempted in years gone by, ever.

I can not wait to watch this offense work this season.

Not unreasonable to think he wins the job in TC.

Put this in the Noah Gray thread, sharing here as well

Matt Verderame reported the below:

“I'm told the Chiefs are very happy with the early returns of guard Trey Smith and tight end Noah Gray, especially Smith.

Also worth noting that Kyle Long has been good in OTAs as he returns from retirement.”

The second Smith plays a snap at guard in a regular season game he's never coming off the field IMO. This is why guys like Long and LDT need to beat him out at camp.

I think there's not doubt he's the highest upside OG.

I have doubts that Reid will roll with three rookies from OC-RT, and I think Humphrey and Niang's upside at key spots mean they'll get every opportunity to win those spots.

So I think from an experience stand-point, Smith would be odd man out. I would think Andy would want a vet in between those two first year guys, and LDT has experience in this offense.

I don’t think they can do it in camp or anywhere else
