The ShangHai and the Hang seng China markets were green overnight. Should bode well for IQ,Huya,Bili,Sogo today to be in the green.

It's like the stock market is the Chiefs and IQ is Larry Johnson.

LOL! welcome to the world of stock trading.
BTW, did you do your due diligence and research the stock ? also I never ever told you to buy it. there are several of us on here that bring up individual stocks and we don't just run and buy them ,we research them and come to our own conclusions and make a decision. I'm sorry the first two days of your investing life suck but it's not my fault. I wish you made 100K today . BTW I'm still up 80% on IQ. |

I've had investments for a long time. I'm no n00b. I'm just bitching because it dropped.
I'm still sure it's going back up. I will not be selling anytime soon. |

I just recently got my TSP out of the government's hands into my own hands. Rolled it over into a traditional IRA for 14 months at 2.1% so I have a year to learn what's a better way. I'm 56 and retired from the Army as a civilian over 30 years. I know nothing about this area and would appreciate any help with where to start to learn more about it. Things to read or whatever. Thanks in advance.

This thread went from sound advice to what not to do in typical CP fashion. Equally valuable.

If you want even more basic than that, target-date funds let you just buy one mutual fund that automatically balances more toward bonds (more conservative) as you get closer to their target date (retirement). There are index versions of those that have low expense ratios and are pretty much an autopilot way of investing. If you want to do a little more in-depth reading, this book is a great primer. https://www.amazon.com/Little-Book-C...dp/B075Z6HSCJ/ |
