The Motorcycle Discussion Thread
I figure there are some motorcycle guys/gals on CP, so I thought we could have a place to talk all things Motorcycles.
Tire Mount and Balance Prices (as of 10/29/16) Prices based on if you remove the wheels yourself and bring the wheels and new tires with you: Cycle Gear - $35 per wheel if you buy tires from them. $58 per wheel if you buy tires elsewhere Rawhide - $65 per wheel (assuming it would be the same at other HD dealers. they book it at 1/2 hr per wheel) C R Cycle Tires (DeSoto) - $30 per wheel Cheapest I've found my Michelin Commander II's. Seem like they have good prices on other brands too. http://www.jakewilson.com - Free 3 day shipping on orders over $75 Last edited by Dayze; 10-29-2016 at 09:02 PM.. |

ahhh...
finally got 'er. that bike smells like a hot rod after shutting her down. and runs like it too. felt the rear dancing around while throttling hard through a sweeper turn. entered it around 20mph then goosed it. as my buddy said of the motor "that bitch is straight". He's right. still felt bad; he and his wife teared up a bit as i fired her up (the bike, not the wife) to take her home. But his wife said "don't feel too badly for him. I'm sure he'll be buying another within 6 months"lol. Wish I had tomorrow off - I'd just go ride all damn day. |

We did the big ones when we were down there. We hit the Pig Trail, devil's den, ran to war eagle mill... And my personal favorite, 62 between 71 and harrison. It get's real fun around Eureka.

We went and picked up my brothers first motorcycle today. The only weird thing about it is that someone replaced the stock bars with ones of an atv. 20,500miles for $3,400.

We went out and got him a helmet and a jacket. Now he has to learn how to ride the thing.

cool bike PR. It's different. that front cantilever is wicked looking.
Good idea on scoring the gear. Just show him pictures of my wreck in this thread, and let him know that was only at about 35mph. lol. |

I second this..taken a course is the best way to learn and they normally give really good tips on how to move with traffic and how to watch cars
