Daniel Lynch is developing rapidly, so don’t be surprised if he’s promoted as early as June. Despite the big loss today and series loss this weekend to the Twinkies, the Royals STILL somehow have the best record in Major League Baseball.

Indians come to town for a 4 game series with Top pitching prospect Daniel Lynch making his Major League debut tomorrow night! Then a 3 gamer against the suddenly surging White Sox which may decide the early season division lead for a while. Big early season home stand! 5-2 would be great, but I’d even take 4-3.

Should be an exciting week at The K. Get out there for some games this week!

That's the likely reason. Since he's day to day, my guess is he misses his next start and gets a few more days to let the bruise heal. Once he's good, that's when it gets interesting. Since they're legit competitive, do they let Keller sort things out at AAA? That would give Keller one more start to get things straightened out and effectively makes it a rotation of 6, temporarily until those questions get sorted out (and Lynch might not make the case to stay in the show).
