*****2024 NFL DRAFT THREAD - NO SPOILERS*****

Version 2024 - PATRICK MAHOMES & THE HUNT FOR THE THREEPEAT

Let's ****ing do this.

Quote:
Rules for once the draft begins:
  1. No spoiled picks in this thread, all weekend. This means that as tweets are leaking picks a few minutes before the selection is announced live, you don't post it in this thread (ex: embedded tweets), reference it in this thread (ex: Joe Slapdick says it's So and So to Green Bay) or hint at it (ex: "it's a RB!").
  2. Don't be a dick.
Otherwise, have fun, talk shit, freak out and lose your goddamned minds. It's Draft Weekend. The hot takes in these threads are so funny. I'll also be starting player threads for each of our picks as they are made, with videos and notable stats/takes in the OP. These separate threads will be made as soon as the news breaks, outside of this thread. I will link the threads below. Pure knee-jerk gold to reference in the future.

Here are our picks:

Round 1, #28: Xavier Worthy
Round 2, #63: Kingsley Suamataia
Round 4, #131: Jared Wiley
Round 4, #133: Jaden Hicks
Round 5, #159: Hunter Nourzad
Round 6, #211: Kamal Hadden
Round 7, #248: C.J. Hanson

Here is a list of the prospects the Chiefs have shown interest in this year.

If the chart says a 4th and you gave your 3rd it's an 'overpay' by the board but it's a steal if it gets you Arnold instead of Kool-Aid. Arnold and a 4th is WAY more valuable than McKinstrey and a 3rd.

Standing firm on a draft value board is silly.
Both the Lions and the Vikings got really good players. They really wanted. Definitely good moves.

hint: Nobody wants the #32 pick unless they earned it. Nobody wants to trade with KC. None of these guys were ever real possibilities.

And we'll probably STILL win the Super Bowl, even with you bitching that the sky is falling every game in the first quarter.
Some on here should just play Madden. That way they can draft and sign their players in their make believe world.

Be cool with that.

Mostly I just do not want McConkey or Worthy with this pick. If that's where we end up and weren't willing to move that 2025 2nd rounder to get up to the 19/20 range then we made a fairy big mistake, IMO.

I don’t think it was viable. The Eagles badly needed a corner and had their choice of any of them. They weren’t trading.

So they’d have to trade up 11 spots? If trading up 6 spots cost your 1st, a 5th, a 3rd and a 4th then moving up about twice that far would have probably been outrageously expensive, no?

Just don’t think it was viable
