Hate when ppl use injuries as an excuse. One of the biggest factors when winning a championship is having players on the team that don't get hurt. Not the Raptors fault Durant is skinny as a toothpick and Klays ankle gave out on him.
Raptors were the better team cause their players arent made of glass. Deal with it. |

Lebron - Dellavadova - JR Smith - Tristan Thompson - Mozgov / Shumpert (75%) Curry - Klay (most of the series) - Draymond - Iguodala - Boogie (75%) - are we really going to compare rosters? GS injuries led to Iguodala and Boogie getting more playing time. You know who started in place of Kyrie & Love? Dellavadova started and played 40 minutes / game. The 5th spot was such a mess that CLE relied on Shumpert & James Jones. Outside of Lebron, the 2015 Cavs might have had the all-time worst NBA finals roster in history. |

Well to be fair, I'm not trying to make a case about the supporting cast. The 2007 Cavs supporting cast was healthy (by the way, their defense was criminally underrated) which the 2015 Cavs were not. I was just pointing to the comedy of wanting to asterisk the Raptors win because of injuries when Golden State's first title was due to a far bigger asterisk. If people want to be poor sports and not credit Toronto for the win, then the Warriors' first title was a sham too.

So does LeBron get to count 2015 as a title now over the Warriors because he would have won it with Kyrie and Love? I'm afraid sports don't work that way.
The Raptors beat the team the Warriors had on the court. It's not their problem that that team wasn't healthy. |

KD tore his Achilles, Klay tore his ACL, and Curry is 31 years old and on the way down. The Warriors' dynasty is thankfully done, the Raptors finished it for good.

It took some balls for Ujiri to make the trade he did for Kawhi. In terms of winning a championship, it's a no-brainer. But it would have been so much easier and more comfortable to just stick with Demar on the long-term contract and have your meaningless profitable 50 win seasons with early playoff exits. He could have kept his job with the Raptors for years that way, but he wanted more for this organization. It's one of the best trades in NBA history considering how it turned out and how little he gave up to get him. And if Kawhi stays (and the Raptors remain contenders in that scenario for a while yet), it could get even better.

Winning a series against a team missing two of their top players and then losing a series while missing two of their top players. Being a neutral fan, I disliked both of those series. I’d rather see two fully healthy teams battle for the title. It happens though. |
