50 Beers to Try Before You Die
Thought the beer snobs here might like this article (and probably critique the hell out of it).
http://www.wisdeo.com/articles/view_post/2984 (CBS) You've heard of "100 Bottles of Beer on the Wall"? How about 50 to try before you die?!
Spoiler!

The Game of Thrones stuff should be good. Ommegang is a great brewery. Three Philosophers is an all-time favorite.

Ya, I've tried the Lugene, Samuel Smith Chocolate Stout and the Young's Double Chocolate recently since Mingle in LS was doing a 3 for 18 special and I agree it's hard to beat the Sammie Smith. The Red Chair NWPA was also good from Deschutes.
Not sure if any are on Untappd or if there's a user names list in this thread. Any decent Irish Ales to try since? |

I just got back from Germany and had the most amazing beers.
It's amazing how much you can drink and not come away with any headache/hangover. |

I'd take Lugene any day over Young's. Just a personal preference though.

so I've had a cold for like 2 weeks. stayed home all weekend and did nothing. but Sunday.....Sunday was the Indiana / Michigan game. I've been hoping it would be relevant all season, and it totally was. so I said the hell with it.....I'm drinking BEER.
for those not in the know this may not sound like a lot, but ABV can kick your teeth in. three great, but dangerous beers..... over the course of about 3 hours I had first a 24 oz Blvd Bourbon Barrel Quad (11.8%) I'd been saving for a special occasion. oddly enough I felt MUCH MUCH better after having that one so next I grabbed my last 12 oz Bourbon County Stout (15%). after that, now feeling very little, like a complete dumbass....I grabbed a 12 oz Bells Hopslam (10%). yada yada yada....the next morning I had to rewatch the last 3 minutes of the game to make sure what I thought happened really happened. ![]() |

In all seriousness, BBQ is some good stuff. My stash of it has dwindled to almost nothing; they need to release more. |

It's going to get done again next year. It "wasn't ready" yet as of release time last year.
The Rye on Rye and Saison Brett releases last year have gotten me by. |

Wish I had some more BBQ. Was only able to snag a single bottle up here in MN, which I polished off last year. Are they brewing that again? |
