The Motorcycle Discussion Thread
I figure there are some motorcycle guys/gals on CP, so I thought we could have a place to talk all things Motorcycles.
Tire Mount and Balance Prices (as of 10/29/16) Prices based on if you remove the wheels yourself and bring the wheels and new tires with you: Cycle Gear - $35 per wheel if you buy tires from them. $58 per wheel if you buy tires elsewhere Rawhide - $65 per wheel (assuming it would be the same at other HD dealers. they book it at 1/2 hr per wheel) C R Cycle Tires (DeSoto) - $30 per wheel Cheapest I've found my Michelin Commander II's. Seem like they have good prices on other brands too. http://www.jakewilson.com - Free 3 day shipping on orders over $75 Last edited by Dayze; 10-29-2016 at 09:02 PM.. |

This is a timelapse of part of my trip home. I have to tell you, traveling solo was really cool. If you haven't tried it, do it. Don't let people scare you out of it. I had a lot of people give me the "I don't know man, are you sure you want to do this by yourself?" bit. I'm so happy I didn't listen to the naysayers. Anyways, production isn't my strong point. Just lined the clips up, and put some music to it. Hope you enjoy it.

found a builder that specializes in sportys by the name of Jeff Cochran. I absolutely LOVE his style. I would probably cut off a pinky toe of mine to get one.

I'm a sucker for bobbers. primary reason I ride what I ride. closest thing I could get to that style at good price.
I'd like a good hooligan bike like one of these. something completely impractical and loud as shit. lol. |

not one of his builds, but I like this one. part of me would like to have a bobber that's just a rat-bike. no paint, just a seat, wheels, and motors. ....and brakes.

2014 street glide here, any other people with the 2014+ Rushmore non special Harleys think the radio is a pile of shit? I mean the sound is decent but it goes haywire with your phone every time I ride.

I had heard on the 14 and 15 Harleys that the radio was a weak link and I think lots of people had been replacing them..through either warranty or aftermarket

sumbitch I would be pissed if I dropped that kind of coin on a basically new bike / newly redesigned etc and had issues like that right out of the gate. Hope that shit is under warranty. it better be.

My 2013 Road King had the low beam of the headlamp go out. The 2 side lights next to the headlamp also did not work. The high beam did, however. I checked fuses and to see if there were any connection issues elsewhere (including the toggle switch for the side lights) that I could see but didn't notice anything. Took it to the local HD dealer and it was a wire in a wire connector/harness in the headlamp that had broken, $104 later. I wish some of these companies had a little more faith in their products and warrantied them longer than 2 years.

If there was an aftermarket radio available right now to pop in there I would, I don't have a special so there is no navigation and I'm sure as hell not spending 2k for harley's unit with navigation cause I know it has the same issues I have since my brother has a 15' road glide special. It's not that bad, but since it's difficult to **** with your phone while you're riding it it just pisses me more than anything..
