*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

We just need to stop shutting down the scoring in the second half and the narrative will go away. We did allow the 49ers back into the game, just like we allowed the Steelers back in during the second quarter a week earlier(although there was obviously some ref help there too).

I got in my car for 5 minutes today and 610 is pumping this narrative that "the 49ers showed how to beat Patrick Mahomes" why is that station constantly pumping that the offense is going to go to shit the minute it's on tape theory?

They've been doing it all year.

Jesus Christ they are a bunch of idiots....that station is complete garbage any more from morning to afternoon. Cannot listen to any of them.

Breakdown of offensive points by half

Chargers game
First: 17. Second: 21

Steelers game
First: 21. Second: 21

49ers game
First: 35. Second: 3

It's an overreaction. Also, if Harris doesn't drop the ball, and if that Hill play is ruled a catch, you're looking at atleast a 44-27 type game. The offense was imperfect but still rolled

Ron Hughley is an idiot. If you're spending your time listening to that man you're wasting it.

Sit in silence. Learn a new language. Hell, listen to a cassette tape of cats meowing...all of these are better uses of your time.

It was seriously "they hit him and put pressure on him which lead to him playing poorly in the second half"

I don't believe it. Normally, a defense will try to identify tendencies related to players. Take away a certain player in certain situations and that will slow them down type of deal. Another way is to identify weaknesses in a key player's game and play to your strengths. Like force Trablindski to see a guy (jk). Like force Trablindski to throw it deep to the boundary or force Rivers off his spot and make him move. That type of thing.

Where is the guy you're going to "shut down" on this team? Which of Mahomes' weaknesses are you going to exploit?

It's an impossible dream.

I want to see the other side of the story that came out last week about Veach. Would love to see how the deal went down between Buffalo and KC. How many days/weeks had they discussed the possibility of trading prior to the draft?

For those who recorded the game.

8:17 in the 3rd quarter.
3rd & 15 at the 20 yard line.

Fox didn’t show a replay.

Dorsey made it sound like his convo with Buffalo went back a couple weeks, maybe further.
