Not sure lol. Ashlie potatoes is what all our friends call them when they ask her to make them or how she makes them.
Glass bowl, large chunks of potato and butter, microwave, stirring every once in a while adding butter as necessary. When the potato starts to get done add in lots of cheese and sour cream. Kind of like a chunky cheesy baked/mashed potatoes. Oh and salt and pepper also. I've never really paid attention but I think that's the gist of it. |

Traditional casserole or bacon/onion is the only way I can eat them... oh, and many Chinese buffets do a garlic sauce bean and leave them real crunchy, those are also excellent |

I love garlicky butter green beans—or with mushrooms added. I also like them in a olive oil vinaigrette with tomatoes...or with bacon added too. I like them parboiled, chilled in a salad this way too. Another version is a French one with caramelized onions.

Wife and I have cut all that stuff out trying to help my waistline and I actually like green beans plain. They're not as good as with bacon in them, but I'm trying to reduce the activities that take something healthy and make it horrible. I would encourage you to buy some frozen beans. Wife found some that come in a package that steams it. It is really easy and like 3 Min in the microwave. It's a hell of a lot better than canned. Speaking of canned, I only buy del monte. The others taste like shit to me. |
